Odisha clocks more than 11000 new positive COVID cases for the second consecutive days. While on Tuesday 11. 058 cases were confirmed, in the last 24 hours, as per the reports of I and PR department, the state has witnessed a slight spike of 11,607 new Covid-19 cases. Out of these new positive COVID cases, 991 cases are of people from 0-18 years of age.

There has been an increase in death toll as well. While on Tuesday 4 deaths were confirmed, today 6 deaths due to COVID 19 has been confirmed. 2 deaths have been recorded from Khorda district whereas one death each from Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Jharsuguda districts.
Khurda district accounted for highest number of cases 4,347, followed by Sundargarh at 1,219, Cuttack at 898 and Sambalpur at 390. Cases in other states include Balasore (305), Jajpur (231), Balangir (229), Rayagada (229), Jharsuguda (219), Nayagarh (206), Angul (185), Mayurbhanj (174), Koraput (168), Nuapada (166), Puri (157), Bhadrak (153), Nabarangpur (149), Bargarh (145), Jagatsinghpur (134), Keonjhar (121), Kendrapada (119), Sonepur (114), Kalahandi (103), Ganjam (93), Gajapati (87), Malkangiri (85), Kandhamal (80), Boudh (78), Deogarh (75), Dhenkanal (71) and State Pool (877).
