Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for making efforts in bringing reforms in mining sectors in sync with the Centre’s vision.
According to the reports, the Prime Minister stated that the reforms in coal mining have resulted in a significant increase in profits from Rs.14,000 crore to Rs. 35,000 crore.
“The State governments have received the revenue generated from the auction which has benefited them and the states’ benefit is the country’s benefit,” Modi mentioned in his speech in the Upper House of the Parliament. Odisha is the first State to have introduced the reforms. So, I congratulate CM Naveen Patnaik led the government for working shoulder to shoulder with the Centre,” says Modi.
Earlier, the PM launched a scathing attack on Congress and said the party has been voted out of power by people across many states in the country for a long time, including Odisha.
