The Chembur police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Bollywood powerhouse actor Ranveer Singh over his photos that have become a hot topic on social media.
Police said they filed an FIR after receiving a complaint requesting FIR registration. According to police, NGO officials and lawyers have registered separate written complaints about the matter, alleging that the actor hurt the emotions and sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs.
Ranveer has been booked under IPC Sections 292, 293, 509 and sections of the IT Act.
The nude photographs of Ranveer Singh that went viral all over the Internet were basically a photoshoot for Paper Magazine.
The actor is well known for his award-winning roles in films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and Gully Boy.
