Woman kills her daughter’s classmate for scoring high marks

A 13-year-old boy passed away on Saturday in Karaikal, Puducherry, allegedly as a result of poisoning. According to the police, his classmate’s mother spiked his soda because he outperformed her daughter. The suspect, identified as Sahayarani Victoria from Karaikal, was detained by the police on Sunday and later remanded in judicial custody as a result of the police acting on the boy’s parents’ complaint.

“The inquiry is in progress. The Indian Penal Code’s Section 302 (murder) has been used as the basis for the accused’s booking (IPC). The body was given to the parents after the post-mortem was completed. Yesterday, the final rites were performed (Sunday). We will learn the true cause of the student’s death after receiving the post-mortem reports, a senior police official said.

His parents and other family members protested outside the hospital after the boy died, claiming the facility had not given him the proper care. The enraged mob blocked a road near the hospital and wrecked some hospital property.The boy who passed away was the son of Rajendran and Malathi, who reside in Karaikkal, Puducherry’s Nehru colony. According to the police, Victoria arrived at the school on Saturday and gave the boy a cold beverage. When the boy got home, though, he began to throw up frequently and informed his parents that Victoria Sahayarani had given him a drink.
