Jio has constructed a tower that is connected via 5G fibre optics for the live demonstration. The internet speed with 5G service is reportedly nearly ten times faster than with 4G. It is anticipated that the fifth generation of cellular technology will spark a revolution among the general public. The State’s 5G service is reportedly provided by Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.

President’s hometown will witness 5G live .Although Union Minister for Railways, Communications, and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw promised during his recent visit to the State that 5G will be brought out in Odisha in the first phase, the service might not be immediately usable throughout the entire State.

The rollout of 5G services will take place in phases, just like that of 4G. The service will be extended to other areas after the trial testing in a few particular locations, the sources indicated.
