Aam Aadmi Party creates a landmark in Delhi

AAP managed to win with prestige while the BJP did not fare as terribly as was projected in an election that turned out to be closer than expected with just 3% of the vote gap between the leading 2 parties. However, the Congress merely managed to maintain some relevance. Aam Aadmi Party gets 134 of the total 250 seats, followed by the BJP with 104, Congress with 12, and other parties with a total of 12, with 126 constituting the majority. On December 4, the national capital’s 250 wards went to the polls. There are 1,349 candidates running for office, and the turnout was roughly 50%.
