Costliest Apartment Worth Rs 240 Crore bought by a resident of Mumbai

In one of the largest real estate transactions in India, an industrialist purchased a penthouse in the opulent twin-tower “Three Sixty West” at Worli in Mumbai for a staggering Rs 240 crore. The 30,000 square foot penthouse was purchased by the billionaire and chairman of the Welspun Group, B K Goenka, according to a report in the Times of India.”This flat was the priciest one ever sold in India. Given that the maximum amount of capital gains that may be invested under Section 54 as of April 2023 is Rs 10 crore, we anticipate more transactions in the ultra-luxury market during the following two months. Therefore, any capital gain over Rs 10 crore would automatically be taxed (as appropriate),” Liases Foras founder and MD Pankaj Kapoor was quoted in the report as saying. Liases Foras is a real estate rating and research company.

For Rs 160 crore, the Jindal family, owners of the pharmaceutical company Jindal Drugs, bought a 10,000 square foot residence in Lodha Altamount in 2015. Actor Ranveer Singh, who is also married to Deepika Padukone, spent Rs 119 crore in 2022 to purchase a duplex in the Sagar building in Bandra Bandstand. One of the priciest sales ever took place when the upscale development Three Sixty West sold this triplex. It was completed on Wednesday. The businessman intends to occupy the penthouse.Oberoi Realty announced last week that they had purchased Three-Sixty West for Rs 4000 crore on the BSE and NSE. There are 63 flats in total. The bought flats’ 5.25 lakh square foot of land.

According to the Oberoi group, Three Sixty West is the project that houses the most successful families in India. Oberoi Realty revealed on Friday that it had paid 192 crore for an area of 8 acres in Thane, Maharashtra, in another property deal. The agreement was completed with commercial refrigeration and air conditioning provider Blue Star Ltd. (BSL).
