Two top IAS officers received increased funding from the State Government on Friday. Satyabrata Sahu, an IAS officer from the 1991 batch, has been assigned extra responsibility for the Department of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change, according to a notification from the GA and PG Departments.
As the Assistant Chief Secretary, Sahu now serves as the director of the departments of revenue, disaster management, and odia language, literature, and culture. The State’s Special Relief Commissioner is an official from the 1991 class.
Chithra Arumugam, an IAS officer from the 1995 batch, has also been assigned extra responsibility for the Public Enterprises Department. Arumugam is now the Planning & Convergence Department’s Senior Secretary.
