The Jharsuguda by-election has been quiet. According to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nikunja Bihari Dhal, there were no incidents of fraud or violence throughout the voting process.
In his remarks to a news conference held here on Wednesday, Dhal said that the voter turnout was an astounding 68.12% as of 5 p.m.
On Thursday morning, according to Dhal, the final polling percentage will be disclosed.
