State Level Workshop On “MUKTA” Goal Setting Held

G Mathi Vathanan, Principal Secretary to the Government, H&UD Department, presided over a one-day state-level brainstorming session on “MUKTA goal-setting” today. The Principal Secretary Mathi Vathanan emphasized in his opening remarks that the government of Odisha has been actively working to improve urban capacities and resources through a variety of means, including bolstering scheme implementation, process re-engineering, and developing reliable progress monitoring mechanisms.

He explained that one of the main areas of reform is holistic organization development work, which aims to maximize and strengthen the capacities and capabilities of the “people,” which includes all of the government employees and community partners who make up the Housing and Urban Development Department’s core. Additionally, Mathi Vathanan stated that the MUKTA plan is one of the government’s flagship initiatives that is implementing the changes being undertaken under the Organization Development strand.

The event included lively discussion of the MUKTA’s aims and how each stakeholder can help them succeed. He expresses confidence and expects that each stakeholder will actively participate and contribute ideas to the agenda of aligning each stakeholder’s roles with the MUKTA program’s overarching objectives while establishing precise metrics for gauging our success in implementing MUKTA, which will improve service delivery for those who benefit from it in the last mile.

The organization’s development efforts will aid everyone in better understanding how their efforts relate to the overarching objectives of the programs and missions we carry out. It accomplishes this by making the duties and responsibilities of each stakeholder more explicit and by outlining a clear route for developing the capacities needed to carry out those roles and obligations. Together, these factors make it easier to do the task successfully, which helps the schemes and missions put into action succeed.
