Anu Garg, the Water Resources Department’s Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), presided over a meeting today with top officials and engineers from many departmental departments to discuss existing projects and departmental operations. The meeting evaluated the status of lift irrigation schemes, mega lift projects, major, medium, and small irrigation projects, as well as other under-construction efforts, according to an official news release.
Garg gave senior officials and engineers instructions during the review to increase departmental spending in accordance with budgetary provisions and established goals, speed up ongoing construction projects, secure approvals for pending projects and schemes, and take action to fill open positions within the department. She underlined the necessity of coordinated efforts to improve the performance of different branches in a meaningful and noticeable way.
In order to ensure significant advancement in the department’s plans, Garg also counseled officials to continue their sincere and cooperative efforts to improve the effectiveness of their respective branches.
