The famous Bali Yatra, an annual celebration of the rich nautical history of the sailors known in Odisha as Sadhabas, is about to begin.
Bali Yatra 2022 will be organized in a magnificent manner after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 limitations that forced the cancellation of the annual festival. The Cuttack district government asserts that this year, “Clean and Green Bali Yatra” is being promoted in every way possible.
The focus this year has been on providing various access and departure points, so people will be able to move around freely inside the arena. Almost 40 acres of land have been set aside for parking spaces.
From the Cantonment Police station to the Silver City Boating Club, a nearly 1.5 km length of road will be electrified. In addition to serving as a key entry point for tourists during Bali Yatra, it will be a permanent feature that residents may utilize for their morning walks.
Approximately 400 trees will be adorned on the Bali Yatra grounds, and special pindis (concrete buildings) and seats will be put in place so that visitors may sit down if they grow weary of running from one vendor to the next.
This year’s Bali Yatra will be centered on a unique enclosure called “Cuttack in Cuttack.” The Orissa High Court, a temple, a gurudwara, a church, and a mosque are among the millennium city monuments that will be on exhibit, according to district administration officials. To educate students and youngsters about the legacy, other notable locations and buildings in the area will also be presented, and daily quiz activities will be planned.
