In the ever-evolving world of cinema, stars constantly strive to enhance their market value with every film. Indian cinema has seen many actors rise to stardom and elevate their worth. Currently, the highest-paid actor in the industry is Allu Arjun, the “Icon Star.”
While it is often assumed that Bollywood actors dominate the pay scale, Telugu cinema has broken this norm, with Allu Arjun emerging as the top earner in Indian cinema. According to a Forbes India report, Allu Arjun commands a staggering remuneration of Rs. 300 Cr per film.
This impressive figure surpasses even Bollywood’s biggest stars, with Allu Arjun out-earning Shah Rukh Khan. Thalapathy Vijay, who is nearing the end of his film career, ranks second, earning between Rs. 130 Cr to 275 Cr per film.
Shah Rukh Khan takes the third spot, with earnings ranging from Rs. 150 Cr to 250 Cr per project. Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan occupy the fourth and fifth positions, with pay scales between Rs. 125 Cr – 270 Cr and Rs. 100 Cr – 275 Cr, respectively. Prabhas is in sixth place, with earnings between Rs. 100 Cr and 200 Cr. Following them in the top ten are Ajith Kumar, Salman Khan, Kamal Haasan, and Akshay Kumar.
Among the top ten, two are from Telugu cinema, and six are from the South, highlighting the increasing influence and global reach of Southern films.
Allu Arjun’s market value has seen a meteoric rise, especially after the success of Pushpa: The Rise, which garnered massive popularity, especially in North India. With the release of Pushpa: The Rule around the corner on December 5th, expectations are sky-high, and the pre-release business of the film is already crossing Rs. 1000 Cr. If the film opens to a strong response, Allu Arjun’s stature in the industry will only continue to grow. The world eagerly awaits the next chapter of Pushpa and the impact it will have on Allu Arjun’s career.
