The multi-utility electric two-wheeler offers three variants, a claimed range of up to 165 km and features designed for urban and rural use. Deliveries begin on December 1, 2026, in three cities.

New Delhi, November 4, 2026: For millions of Indians, a two-wheeler supports much more than the daily commute. It carries tools, connects small businesses with customers and helps people earn their living. With the launch of MINSARA, Altigreen is targeting this intersection of personal mobility and everyday work.

The electric mobility company, now part of the JAKSON Group, has introduced its purpose-built, multi-utility electric two-wheeler at a starting price of ₹1.24 lakh, ex-showroom.

Bookings are open through Altigreen dealerships in Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Noida, with deliveries scheduled to begin on December 1, 2026.

Altigreen MINSARA: Designed for Work and Everyday Travel

MINSARA marks Altigreen’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment, expanding its portfolio beyond electric cargo three-wheelers.

According to the company, the vehicle is designed for farmers, rural entrepreneurs, delivery professionals, small traders, service technicians and fleet operators. Its positioning centres on customers who use the same vehicle for both daily travel and work-related responsibilities.

The company says MINSARA combines everyday practicality with the durability and performance needed for varied operating conditions, from urban streets and semi-urban markets to rural roads.

Three Variants With a Claimed Range of Up to 165 km

Altigreen has announced three MINSARA variants to address different operating needs.

Variant Battery configuration Company-stated range
MINSARA S 2.78 kWh 125 km
MINSARA S+ 3.8 kWh 165 km
MINSARA SE Battery-swappable configuration Not specified in the release

The MINSARA S+ offers the longest announced range, while the SE introduces a battery-swappable option.

The press release does not specify the range-testing standard, charging times or detailed battery-swapping arrangements. Actual riding range will depend on factors such as load, road conditions, speed and riding style.

Performance Built Around Utility

MINSARA’s announced specifications place emphasis on pulling capability and operation across varying terrain.

According to Altigreen, the vehicle delivers 172 Nm of peak torque, 33% gradeability and a top speed of 75 km/h. It has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 264 kg.

Specification Announced figure
Peak torque 172 Nm
Gradeability 33%
Top speed 75 km/h
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating 264 kg
Wheel size 17-inch alloy wheels
Braking system Dual disc brakes with CBS

The 264 kg figure is the gross vehicle weight rating, not the payload capacity. It refers to the maximum permitted total weight of the loaded vehicle, including the vehicle itself, occupants and cargo. A separate payload figure was not provided in the release.

For customers using a two-wheeler as a working asset, these specifications will sit alongside practical considerations such as charging access, service availability and day-to-day running costs.

Chassis, Suspension and Braking Features

Altigreen says MINSARA uses a high-endurance rib-caged chassis, supported by 17-inch alloy wheels and telescopic suspension.

The vehicle also includes:

  • Dual disc brakes with a Combined Braking System (CBS)
  • Crash guard protection
  • A main stand
  • A side stand with a safety alert

The company positions this combination as suitable for demanding daily use, with an emphasis on stability, durability and rider convenience across different road conditions.

A Mobility Product Connected to Livelihoods

Commenting on the launch, Deepak Thakur, CEO, JAKSON Green Vehicles, highlighted the varied roles that two-wheelers play in Indian households and businesses.

“India’s mobility requirements are as diverse as its people. From urban entrepreneurs and delivery professionals to farmers and small-business owners in rural markets, millions depend on two-wheelers as an essential part of their everyday lives and livelihoods.”

Thakur said MINSARA brings together utility, performance and sustainable technology to address these needs. He added that Altigreen would play an important role in JAKSON Group’s plans to support cleaner, more productive and accessible mobility.

The launch reflects a focus on vehicles that can serve as tools for everyday productivity, alongside their role in transportation.

Altigreen’s Engineering Approach

Amitabh Saran, CTO & Founder, Altigreen, described MINSARA as an extension of the company’s focus on solving practical customer problems.

“At Altigreen, we have always believed that technology must solve real customer problems. Across India, two-wheelers support businesses, livelihoods and everyday responsibilities, often under demanding operating conditions.”

Saran said the vehicle was engineered from the ground up and would complement Altigreen’s existing neEV cargo three-wheeler series.

He also emphasised the role of the company’s dealership network, after-sales service and ownership support in building customer confidence.

For a utility-focused electric vehicle, the ownership experience will extend beyond the product itself. Reliable servicing and accessible support will be particularly relevant to customers whose daily income depends on keeping their vehicles operational.

MINSARA Price, Warranty and Delivery Details

The Altigreen MINSARA starts at ₹1.24 lakh, ex-showroom. The release does not provide separate prices for all three variants.

The announced standard warranty is three years or 30,000 km, with extended warranty options planned. Detailed coverage and conditions should be confirmed with the dealership.

Bookings are currently available through Altigreen dealerships in:

  • Bengaluru
  • Vijayawada
  • Noida

Deliveries are scheduled to commence on December 1, 2026.

A Broader Electric Mobility Portfolio

MINSARA represents a new stage in Altigreen’s expansion under JAKSON Group. Alongside its established cargo three-wheeler business and newly announced two-wheeler offering, the company says it plans to enter the passenger three-wheeler category.

Altigreen reports 32 registered patents, reflecting its emphasis on in-house research and development. The company also states that more than 93% of the material content of its neEV cargo three-wheeler, excluding battery cells, was developed in-house and manufactured in India.

JAKSON Group operates across distributed energy, solar, green energy, infrastructure and biofuels. According to the company’s release, it serves more than 75,000 customers globally and employs over 3,500 people across India and international markets.

Through Altigreen and JAKSON Green Vehicles, the group is extending its energy-transition business into electric mobility.

For MINSARA, the central proposition is clear: an electric two-wheeler designed around the many responsibilities of a working day. Its performance in everyday ownership will determine how effectively that proposition translates into value for riders, small businesses and rural users.
