During his visit to Odisha on Friday, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to attend a number of high-profile events and introduce important projects totaling more than Rs 3,275 crore. The Home Minister will dedicate the Sulphuric Acid Plant built by IFFCO to the country and initiate other significant development projects pertaining to the cooperative sector, dairy development, and the Ministry of Home Affairs, giving additional impetus to the efforts motivated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi.”
At a celebration to be held in Paradip, Shah will dedicate the Sulphuric Acid facility (SAP-III) erected at IFFCO’s Paradip facility to the country. He will thereafter begin a number of significant cooperative sector projects at the IDCO Exhibition Ground, Unit-III in Bhubaneswar. According to official sources, Shah will lay the foundation stones for 130 projects totaling Rs 2,116.06 crore during his visit, while 69 projects totaling Rs 1,159.03 crore would be launched. Cooperative Policy, signing a Memorandum of Understanding to build a school under Tribhuvan Cooperative University, signing a Memorandum of Understanding to revive Badamba Sugar Industries, and dedicating 1,567 Common Service Centers run by PACS/LAMPS.
The program will also feature the digital launch of National Cooperative Organics Limited’s Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) portal, the RCS Office Portal, the need-based infrastructure for 141 PACS, the “Coop Marque” created by National Cooperative Exports Limited, and “Savidya,” an AI-enabled multilingual digital learning platform.
