“Lassi” is a term that is seemingly popular in the state of Punjab. Apart from this state, we also find flavourful Lassi in the state of Odisha. The Lingaraj Lassi of this state has gained quite popularity from everyone starting from the children to the adults. Let us have a brief insight about the making procedure of this Lassi. There are makers near the Lingraj temple who incorporate Chena , to make this special lassi. This procedure of making Lassi incorporating Chena is near about hundred years old.  There are typicall stalls that makes Lassi in a way that is quite identical with how Lassi is made in Punjab.

The basic ingredients comprise of the crushed ice, syrup, curd , chena and flavouring essence. Exclusive toppings on the top like Rabdi,  makes it even more fascinating. There are different stalls which caters to the tastebuds of different people. A person makes up to fifty glasses carefully mixing all the ingridients together to make this Lassi. One of the magical fact about this drink is that it can keep you full for a long period of time. Specially in the scorching heat during the summer season, in Odisha; this chilled drink topped with nuts and berried would surely make you feel heavenly. The Lingaraj Lassi stalls have always become a sanctum for office goers and workers during the summers. It is also affordable and one can savour this lassi at just ten to twenty ruppees and can get a releif from the tiredness of the entire day.
