The cases concern an alleged multi-million dollar scam involving the hiring of teaching and non-teaching employees at West Bengal’s public institutions.On Sunday, Bagchi, who is also a lawyer for the victims of the appointment scam in the Calcutta high court, sent Singhvi an email.”I am forced to write this urgent letter as West Bengal Pradesh Congress workers and leaders are in trouble because of you,” he wrote. You have every right to select your brief as a professional and senior advocate, and you have complete discretion when selecting your clients. But you are unable to completely disregard your responsibilities to the party and its members as a senior member of the Congress.
