Below are the answers she responded to Interview Times Questionnaire :-
Q1- How did the idea of being a home Baker lit inside your mind ?
Answer : Well ! Had never thought of getting into this . Few years back I saw an aunty in my neighborhood conducting bakery workshops from where I had a budding interest in baking but wasn’t confident enough and it was only in 2020 ,when lock-down had started and I was getting too bored sitting without anyone’s company and no work was there so I tried baking a cake using premix and it wasn’t that success but yet tried another one for my bhabi’s birthday which was my first icing cake and turned out to be quite amazing and she gave one of her friend’s order to me and this is how slowly I started taking few orders. Till 2021 march I wasn’t that confident and sure about taking this as an permanent setup but since April I got a sudden gear up and a good customer reach in the city .
Q2-What are the best memories you garnered as a home Baker?
Answer : One day when I was going to deliver a pinata cake but it broke on the way only… Got panic but still I was glad that I had that much patience to come back and do it again and went to deliver it. I was glad the customer was so supportive.
Baking is always fun. Everyday becomes a memory because everyday the same thing doesn’t happen. Like even if I do the same cake but there’s something that will go different in any way.
So everyday I make the best memories.
Q3- Could you please share us some simple and facile baking tips?
Answer : Baking tips:
To get a crack free cake sponge , we should not over mix the batter.
To get a flattened top on the cake, we can place a wet cloth around the cake tin and bake it.
Substitutes of egg in the cake can be mashed banana or vinegar and baking soda or yogurt or buttermilk.
Q4- What difficulties did you face while baking ?
Answer : Initially if I say there were a lot of them which a lay man would face obviously. But today after a so much passage of time it has been reduced a lot ,but first and foremost having a decent finance support is a bit challenging for me till date and like even I don’t have those costly equipment’s for posting a lavish content which I feel to a be a minor challenge in terms of display of my content to my clients .
Q5- What are your other hobbies and how do you manage both your studies as well as baking?
Answer : Since childhood I was deeply into dance and performed in many stages and got too many prizes too but when I was in class 8 I was detected with appendicitis and so I was asked by the doctor not to strain my body hence I had to leave touch from it but yet I love seeing dance videos. Managing bakery and studies has been a really challenging thing for me and each day I make a separate slots for baking and studies and try to manage but sometimes even I fail but it’s quite adventurous for taking such risks in lifetime .
Q6- What are your upcoming plans ?
Answer : Upcoming plans are like too many on different aspects but I have a serious plan for social service and helping out the ones who are excluded and far away from all those glitters of celebrating on special days.
And apart from this I have a plan to grow this to the apex till which I can take through my hardwork .
