Bhubaneswar, November 18, 2024: The Bank of India has partnered with XIM University to equip its officers with a deeper understanding of managing and financing agri-innovation, startups, and high-tech growth projects. In line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the inaugural five-day training program, Banking on Agri-innovation: Financing the Future, began today at XIM University, Bhubaneswar. This specially curated training program has attracted 25 senior officers from the Bank of India, representing various regions of the country.
Inaugurating the program, Mr Vikash Krishna, General Manager of Bank of India, highlighted the bank’s objectives’ alignment with the government’s goal of doubling farmers’ incomes by promoting innovative high-tech agribusiness. “This collaboration with XIM University reflects our commitment to equipping our officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to support innovative and high-growth agricultural ventures and inclusive finance. Praising XIM, he added, “The meticulously crafted content and expert coordination by XIM demonstrate the university’s excellence in the field.”
Fr. S. Antony Raj, SJ, Registrar of XIM University, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude for the trust placed by the Bank of India. “Every five years, we are expecting disruption in the market because of innovations, and we need to remain prepared for it. He was confident that this specially designed training would meet the expectations of all the participants. “We look forward to making your stay both insightful and memorable,” he said.
Prof. Niraj Kumar, the program coordinator, highlighted the training’s objectives, stating,”This thoughtfully designed program resonates with the central leadership’s vision and addresses the specific needs of the bank’s officers. By integrating technical knowledge with behavioural skills, we aim to émpower participants to apply their learning effectively from the first day.”
The program features sessions led by distinguished experts from academia and industry. In addition to interactive technical sessions, participants will also explore Odisha’s vibrant cultural heritage of Odisha, enriching their overall experience.
