After a 146-day dry period, rainfall is predicted in Bengaluru, providing much-needed reprieve from the intense heat.The over four-month-long dry period is finally going to end, as seen by the overcast sky that Bengaluru awoke to in numerous parts on Friday morning. The intense heat and sweltering temperatures in the “Garden City,” which are forcing people to install air conditioners and coolers in their homes, are about to provide residents a breath of respite.A few locations in Karnataka are expected to have rainfall in the upcoming days, specifically from Friday through Tuesday (April 19–23), according to a recent weather forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Additionally, the agency issued a heavy rainfall warning for Friday in scattered locations across the South Interior Karnataka (SIK) districts of Hassan, Kodagu, Shivamogga, and Chikkamagaluru. The IMD’s daily advisory stated that “hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts until April 19.”The agency reported that for Bengaluru city, the next 48 hours are expected to be partly cloudy with a chance of light rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night. It also stated that the maximum and minimum temperatures were probably going to be roughly 37 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.
