Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, got the ‘Best Smart City in Eastern Region’ title on Wednesday at the India Smart Cities Conclave 2023, which is a prestigious honor. The prize was delivered by President Droupadi Murmu and emphasized the capital city’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and inclusive urban development, according to sources. Aside from this, Honeywell Automation earned the “Partner MSI Award” for their exceptional contributions to the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited project, which was given to Bhubaneswar. The neighborhood has benefited greatly from Honeywell’s dedication to innovation and quality in developing smart city efforts.
The prize presentation took place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as part of the India Smart Cities Conclave 2023. The prizes were accepted by a team that included Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, Additional Commissioner Subhendu Sahu of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), and General Manager Subrat Kumar Behera of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL). BMC, BSCL, and Honeywell personnel were present during the occasion.
