Bhubaneswar Recognized as Hub for Indo–Japan Regional Collaboration

A dialogue on Indo–Japan collaboration highlighted the vast regional opportunities beyond metropolitan cities, with Bhubaneswar emerging as a key hub for future partnerships.

🔹 Aluminum Downstream Manufacturing – With Odisha contributing nearly 55% of India’s aluminum output, the state is uniquely positioned to co-create a globally competitive aluminum value chain in partnership with Japan’s precision manufacturing expertise. This effort will be further enabled by the adoption of Extrusion ERP solutions.

🔹 Healthcare and Caregiving – With nearly 30% of Japan’s population above the age of 65, the demand for professional caregivers is steadily rising. Odisha’s young, trainable workforce, supported by UC360 Solutions, can fill this gap through structured training and compliant outsourcing models. This initiative reflects a true people-to-people partnership between Odisha and Japan.

The discussions reinforced that while Odisha offers Japan industrial strength and a skilled human resource base, Japan brings advanced technology and globally respected quality practices. Together, this synergy holds the potential to make Bhubaneswar a model for Indo–Japan regional collaboration.

Prominent attendees included Rtn Jayashree Mohanty, A K Mohanty, Dr. Dibyajit Sahu, Manoj Kar, Lipsa Ray, Debiprasanna Sahoo, Dr. Tarapada Dash, Dr. Lita Mohapatra, and Sanjib Parida, who enriched the discussions with their presence and insights.
