The bill to repeal the Devasthanam Board Act which was passed in Uttarakhand Assembly last year is approved by Uttarakhand Governer, Lt Gen Gumit Singh (Retd) . The management of 50 temples including The Char Dham shrines of Kedarnath , Badrinath, Yamunotri, Gangotri has now returned to the priests who have been waiting for over 2 years now . The Badri Kedar Temple Committee which was looking after the management of Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines before the Constitution would continue to do so.
The Raj Bhawan’s nod to the bill repelling the Act has come over 77 days after the assembly has passed it.
