Chandbali MLA Byomakesh Ray was fined Rs 2,000 for violating traffic rules. As per the reports, he parked his car illegally at the no-parking zone near Jagannath Temple in Puri.
Ray has reportedly gone to Srimandir to have darshan of Lord Jagannath on the occasion of auspicious Mahalaya on October 6. However, in spite of parking his car in Jagannath Balabha Mutt premises, which has been designated as the parking zone for four-wheelers, the legislator drove through the crowded Badadanda from Mochisahi and Janhisahi to Singhadwara and parked his vehicle in front of the temple.
The report further added that there were some social activists who were present at the spot, shot the incident and live telecast it on social media platform and later, Puri Police fined of Rs 2,000.
