Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State General Secretary Anil Sareen praised the Union Budget, calling it a “game-changer” that will drive India’s economic growth and strengthen its future. Speaking at a press conference in Ludhiana on Thursday, Sareen highlighted the Budget’s key provisions, emphasizing its potential to benefit the middle class by making income up to Rs 12 lakh tax-free, providing significant relief to salaried individuals.
Sareen noted that the Budget is designed to boost investment, stimulate consumption, and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He pointed out that the tourism sector will receive a major boost, while new employment opportunities for youth will be created, along with support for MSMEs, small industries, and manufacturing units.
Special attention has been given to industries such as leather, footwear, and toys, which will receive additional government backing. Furthermore, the Budget focuses on infrastructure development, with irrigation and road projects planned for 100 districts.
A notable announcement was the government’s commitment to increasing MBBS seats across the country, with an addition of 75,000 seats over the next five years, including 10,000 seats to be added in the coming year.
