The protests by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been exaggerated along with demanding a strict action against the offenders who were involved in the fatal bomb attack on party leader and MLA Mohan Majhi.
According to the official reports, BJP youth wing members in Keonjhar district unit staged a massive protest blaming the police for failing to take noticeable action in connection with the case.
Apart from that 9 party MLAs from BJP also joined the protest in Keonjhar to pressurize the police administration to bring the culprits to book. The party has warned that it would further intensify the protests in coming days if the accused were not rounded up at the earliest.
The report further added that BJP Keonjhar district president Ansuman Verma stated that the district Superintendent of Police (SP) had assured us to take exemplary action and arrest the accused within 24 hours of the attack but nothing has been done so far.
Meanwhile, the police have claimed that the probe is on the right course and the assailants will be brought to book very soon and the scientific team which carried out the spot examination following the bomb attack had recovered gun powder, thread and iron nails. Samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory for testing.
