Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress, asserted on Tuesday that if the BJP is elected to power once more, they intend to amend the Constitution.
“After the Lok Sabha elections, BJP workers have been going around telling people that they are going to amend the Constitution. She made these remarks while taking part in a massive roadshow in Jorhat to support party candidate Gaurav Gogoi. “If this happens, there may be no elections at all in the country.”
In addition, Priyanka Gandhi asserted that the common people in this nation will bear the brunt of any BJP victory, even as she pledged to increase the daily wages of tea garden labourers should the opposition INDIA bloc secure a majority government in the central government.
“When I visited Assam and viewed tea gardens before the Assembly elections two or three years ago, I had pledged to raise wages if the Congress formed the government. But since you sided with the BJP, the pay did not rise above Rs 250. She stated, “It is important to remember that our manifesto promises to raise the wages of tea garden workers if we form the government at the Center.”
Asserting Gogoi’s case, the Congressman remarked: “BJP leaders come to campaign and talk about ridiculous things.” Gaurav Gogoi has consistently brought up people’s concerns.” She criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that joblessness is at an all-time high, even though the PM only mentioned it twice in a recent interview that was primarily about his “Mann Ki Baat.”
“To stop price increases, cast your ballot in Congress. I beg Assamese citizens to abstain from voting based on caste and religion. The moment has come to give the BJP a harsh lesson, she declared.
Besides Gaurav Gogoi, Priyanka Gandhi was accompanied by Congress state President Bhupen Borah, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Debabrata Saikia and other senior leaders in the road show which started from Titabor in Jorhat.
