“Budget 2025: Date and Time for FM Nirmala Sitharaman’s Presentation in Parliament Revealed”

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present her eighth consecutive Union Budget on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11 am in Parliament. This will be the second full budget of the Modi 3.0 government and marks a historic achievement, as Sitharaman becomes the first Finance Minister to present eight consecutive budgets. The previous record was held by Morarji Desai, who presented six consecutive budgets.

The Union Budget 2025 will be broadcast live through official Parliament channels, Doordarshan, and Sansad TV, and can also be streamed on the government’s official YouTube channels, X handles, and various news outlets. All Union Budget documents, including the Annual Financial Statement, Demand for Grants, and Finance Bill, will be available on the ‘Union Budget Mobile App.’

Despite the presentation taking place on a Saturday, trading will continue as usual on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), with market hours from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm.Markets were also open on Saturdays during previous Union Budget presentations, including on February 1, 2020, and February 28, 2015, when the budgets were presented on those dates.
