Centre does not respect the opposition parties – SP

Why should I attend its inauguration? says Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party.The Samajwadi Party (SP) has made the decision to abstain from the opening of the new Parliament building in New Delhi on 28 May. They claim that the central government “has no respect for the opposition.” The new facility is anticipated to be officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The true parliamentary tradition is to give everyone an equal opportunity to listen to and comprehend the fundamental ideas of’shlokas’ (written in Parliament),” according to the author. A true parliament cannot exist in an environment where there is power-seeking and disregard for the opposition. Why attend its inauguration, asked party leader Akhilesh Yadav in a Hindi tweet.The BJP government has not spoken to the leaders of the opposition, according to SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary, thus there is no use in going to the inauguration event. He claimed that the new Parliament building’s inauguration was being politicised by the BJP-led administration.Chaudhary said that the BJP administration was having the prime minister launch the new building rather than inviting President Droupadi Murmu.The Congress, the Trinamool Congress, the DMK, and the Aam Admi Party are a few more significant political groups that have made the decision to abstain from the inauguration.
