Chief Minister Declares January 17 A Public Holiday as Puri Srimandir Parikrama Inauguration to be held

In honor of the launch of the Srimandir Parikrama project, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has proclaimed January 17 to be a public holiday. The Srimandir Parikrama project will be inaugurated with great religious zeal and passion.

This project will be a unique visit to Odia Asmita. The Chief Minister has proclaimed January 17 as an official holiday so that the followers of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath, the darling god and the emblem of religious harmony as well as the Lord of the world, can joyfully take part in this event and worship to the Lord.

On January 17, all state government offices, educational institutions, and colleges will be closed.
