The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has certified the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) with the National Quality Assurance Standard Award (NQAS). The Malkangiri DHH is regarded as a top-notch hospital and has undergone upgrades from the state government. The ADMO, physicians, nurses, and other personnel have worked hard to maintain the hospital’s cleanliness and aesthetic appeal because the state and federal governments have provided a number of amenities.
It is important to note that a three-person delegation visited state government hospitals in July 2023 on behalf of the Union Health Ministry in order to evaluate a number of hospital-related metrics. Following the assessment, Malkangiri DHH emerged as the best hospital in the state, and the National Quality Award was handed to the Malkangiri DHH on January 11.
On Monday, the hospital held a special event to commemorate the milestone and make a commitment to improving future performance. Attendees at the program included the hospital manager, Shashank Shekhar Panditra, the deputy nursing superintendents, Rukmini Naik, Manoj Kumar Naik, Nirupama Raju, Padmini Raut, Additional District Medical Officer, Dr. Anil Mishra, ADPO (Health Welfare), Dr. Brajbandhu Das, ADPO (VBD), and Dr. Dhaneshwar Mohapatra.
Speaking on the occasion, District Collector and District Magistrate Vishal Singh expressed his happiness for achieving another milestone in the field of health services and congratulated all the doctors and staff of the Malkangiri DHH.
