On Wednesday, 1st December, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurates the 32nd edition of the Konark Festival through virtual mode.
Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, later on, inaugurated the cultural evening at the Konark Natya Mandap at the foot of the famous Konark temple.
The Konark Utsav, Padma Shri Madhvi Mudgal, and team from New Delhi performed Odissi in the very first session of the first evening.
On an inaugural evening, as guests of honor, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tushar Kanti Behera, Advisor to CM N Balakrishnan, Superintendant of ASI Odisha Circle Arun Mallik joined the event.
Like previous year, this year too, because of Covid restrictions only one-third of spectators have been allowed in the open-air auditorium.
