Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Takes Up State Infra Projects

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik talked about numerous infrastructure projects with the Union Road Transport & Highway Minister on video conferencing.

CM Patnaik talked about the proposal for the early completion of multiple ongoing National Highway projects in Keonjhar district and consequent eight laning of the projects. He discussed many important infrastructure projects to Nitin Gadkari who is the Minister of Union Road Transport and Highways.

CM further added that for the state’s economy Keonjhar is very much important district including for the steel industry of the entire country. To enhance the material available for the steel there have been some measures proposed in the Union Budget.  He suggested a regular meeting with the Union Minister once in every two months and the official meetings to be held with the Union Government every month so that it will help to speed up the ongoing projects.

A 300 Kilometre long lane was proposed by the Chief Minister which will have an integrated economic corridor from Paradip to Barbil consisting six stretches. Also, he suggested that in the interim the option of the four laning of these roads with the services roads can be also explored.

CM Patnaik also proposed a 300 Kilometre Digha-Satpada coastal Highways and immediate solution to various issues correlating to this project and the State Government has given all required clearances for this project.

He also thanked Union Minister Gadkari for the discussion over various important infra projects and his support for early completion of a bridge near Kanpur Irrigation Project in Keonjhar district.
