Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja presided over a high-level secretary-level meeting that was held at the Lok Seva Bhawan conference hall. Through the efficient application of subject-specific knowledge and skills, the session’s main goal was to promote people-centric governance. Officials reviewing the state of public grievance redressal said that 82% of concerns filed through various channels had been satisfactorily addressed since June 2024. Adopting a specific technology-enabled mechanism to expedite issues that require immediate treatment was emphasized.
In order to improve the quality of service delivery and the effectiveness of the “Ama Sasana” platform, the conference also emphasized intentions to gather beneficiary feedback soon. To facilitate public access, efforts are being made to include services into the unified “Ama Sathi” WhatsApp bot in accordance with the Odisha Right to Public Services Act. Officials declared a goal to introduce a “Work Passbook” system by October 31 and spoke about speeding up land allocation initiatives. This digital tool will track the status of the project and guarantee that it is completed on schedule and in line with the objectives.
Departments are attempting to integrate current CCTV networks into a centralized monitoring system in order to improve security surveillance. The “Odisha Ideas Portal,” a new digital project that will soon be launched, will encourage innovation and cooperative governance throughout the state. Using the OSWAS system to expedite government operations was another topic of discussion at the conference. Between April and June 2025, all officers will be required to complete online AI-based training to develop fundamental AI abilities.
