At a special event held today at the District Collector’s office here, a childless American man named David and his wife Anna adopted a six-year-old female kid. A nonprofit organization called Basundhara, which is situated in Bidanasi, here gave up the female child for adoption.
Bhabani, Cuttack Collector The couple received the child from Shankar Chayani after all legal procedures were completed. After adopting the kid, David and Anna expressed their happiness. The couple had been patiently waiting to adopt a child after expressing their wish.
Attending the event were officers from several nonprofit organizations and representatives from the Women and Child Development Department.
