Chocolates worth 1.7 million stolen from Cadbury Warehouse


According to news outlets, approximately 150 cartons of Cadbury chocolate bars worth 1.7 million were stolen from a warehouse in the Chinhat area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred between Monday and Tuesday nights. “We have filed a police report at the Chinhat police station. The case has been registered at the Chinhut Police Station under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code.The distributor arrived the next morning to find the entire godown empty, as well as the security cameras stolen by the thieves. He told the cops that one of his neighbours heard a pick-up truck in the middle of the night and assumed Sidhu had come to take away some stock. He speculated that the thieves could have used the truck to transport the stolen chocolates. Syed Abbas Ali, additional deputy commissioner of police for the east zone, stated that footage from CCTV cameras installed in other parts of the localities is being analysed for clues.
