At the 17th phase of the ground-breaking and inauguration event for new industrial units in Odisha today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik formally opened four important industrial facilities and set the groundwork for 17 further projects. 9,200 people can find work thanks to the combined investments in these sectors totaling Rs 3,600 Crore.
Speaking at the event, Naveen noted that Odisha is now the second-best state for luring investments. He stated that the tireless efforts of his administration to elevate Odisha as an investment destination are beginning to bear fruit.
He said that, in accordance with the 5T initiative’s guiding principles, we have always worked to create a hassle-free atmosphere and a quick system for conducting business in Odisha. According to him, the Make in Odisha Conclave-2022 was a great success since it might lead to the creation of up to 10 lakh new employment in the state.
He offered his congratulations to all the businesses and citizens of Odisha on this special day and promised that the State Government will continue to provide facilitation assistance. Additionally, he asked everyone investor in attendance to continue growing their businesses in Odisha and join us in telling our growth story. In his welcoming speech, Industries Principal Secretary Shri Hemant Kumar Sharma discussed the units and importance of the projects. IDCO MD Bhupinder Punia and IPICOl advocated the vote of thanks.
Speaking at the event were Century Fibre Plates Ltd. Purusottam Malani, JSW MD Partha Jindal, Gadre Marine Export Pvt Ltd Arjun Gadre, May Fair Hotels Project Head Dillip Agrawal, and Ctrl S Datacentres Ltd. CMD Sridhar Pinnapureddy. They said that they are experiencing some optimism from the government and that Odisha’s industrial environment is highly active. They praised the Chief Minister for turning Odisha into a prime location for industrial investment.
Principal secretaries from several departments were present, along with Chief Secretary PK Jena, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian, and Chief Secretary Jena.
These industries were created as a result of the Make in Odisha Conclave, when several businesses declared their intention to invest in the state. Four inaugurations and seventeen ground-breaking ceremonies, which marked the start of industrial projects costing a total of Rs. 3629.16 crores, were held to commemorate the fulfillment of these investments. Over 9,205 new jobs are anticipated to be created by these initiatives for Odisha residents.
The state administration is making great efforts to turn these investment intentions into actual projects. Odisha has earned the second spot among the top states in India in terms of luring large continuing investments within the fiscal year 2022–2023, according to a recent poll by CMIE capex database and CII Research.
