CM Majhi Lays Foundation Stones For Rs 550 Cr Projects In Ganjam

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi lay the groundwork for projects totaling Rs 550 crore in Ganjam district on Monday, marking a major step towards development. Speaking at the state-level “Yuva Shakti Samabesh” in Aska, the chief minister emphasized the importance of young people in turning Odisha into an economy worth $1.5 trillion by 2047.

Five irrigation plans, a road extension project, a high-level bridge, and several other projects are covered by the foundation stones. The Chief Minister also announced the distribution of land in Polasara for the construction of a top-tier industrial training college and instructed authorities to draft an updated Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of the Maa Tara Tarini Temple.

Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi said, “Odisha will be a land of immense opportunities for the youth. A golden era is approaching, and young people will drive the state’s progress to reach the $500 billion economy target by 2036 and $1.5 trillion by 2047.”

The area is a cradle of art, music, dancing, and politics, according to the Chief Minister, who also complimented Ganjam’s rich cultural legacy. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to the general welfare and emphasized the robust governance framework in place. Majhi, who emphasized youth empowerment, noted that the 1.7 crore productive age group in Odisha is a significant resource. Through the National Education Policy, important programs like “Nipun Odisha,” and projects like the Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Prathamika Vidyalaya, the government is putting a strong emphasis on high-quality education.
