Following further Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated that the state administration is keeping a careful eye on the flood situation in a number of areas of the state. Majhi stated on social media site X that local authorities were closely monitoring the situation and carrying out the appropriate rescue and relief efforts in the impacted regions. The Chief Minister stated that three senior and experienced officers have been given specific responsibility for the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, and Jajpur in order to guaranty the efficient administration of rescue and relief efforts.

 

The Special Relief Commissioner is also continuously coordinating with district administrations and supervising the ongoing rescue and relief work, he said. “Our top priority is to provide immediate relief to the affected people and ensure their safety,” Majhi said, adding that he would visit the affected areas to take stock of the situation on the ground. The Chief Minister also urged people in affected areas to follow the instructions issued by the local administration and exercise caution.
