During his visit to the sacred Ghatagaon Maa Tarini Temple in Keonjhar district on Monday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) valued at more than ₹215 crore is now being developed for the integrated development of the temple. Following his prayers at the temple, the Chief Minister expressed his goal of making Keonjhar the state’s top district and turning the Maa Tarini Peetha into a significant place of worship.
“The groundbreaking ceremony will be conducted once the DPR receives formal approval,” Majhi said. “Work will begin soon after, and adequate provisions have already been made in the state Budget to ensure smooth execution.”
The Chief Minister underlined the government’s dedication to improving the temple’s amenities, infrastructure, and pilgrimage experience while highlighting the strong emotional and spiritual bond that millions of Odias have with Maa Tarini.
