Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Inaugurated a Rob (Railway over the bridge) and laid the foundation stone for a Cooperative Ginning Mill at Digapahandi in Ganjam district.
Through video conference, CM Odisha inaugurated the 700 Metre long ROB. According to sources, ROB is built to make easy traffic connections in the area with an investment of about Rs 27.43 crore, including Rs 11-crore as the railway share. The executive engineer Road and Building, Tapan Kumar Panigrahy, informed that ROB would make it more accessible for the people travelling to Bhubaneswar, Chhatrapur, and Gopalpur.
Already there are around five ROBs in the city, and the other ROBs are opened for traffic included Kamapalli-Lanjipalli, Haladiapadara, and Goshaninuagaon and Gopalpur junction. Even there is also a proposal for constructing two more ROBs in and around Berhampur, which includes Jagannathpur of Rs 30-crore and Ambapua of Rs 35-crore on the outskirts of the city.
Before, the CM has also laid the foundation stone for a Cooperative Ginning Mill at Digapahandi in Ganjam district. This Cooperative Ginning Mill will give so many job opportunities to around 100 skilled and unskilled workers. It will also help cotton growers of nearby six blocks. With an investment of Rs 2.10 crore, the Cooperative Ginning Mill will be set up in PPP mode.
