The transformational journey of Odisha and India is reflected in two books released today by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The first is Dr. Ajit Mishra’s “The Magic Mantra of 5T: A Tale of Transforming Nabarangpur.” The book provides a detailed account of the changes that Nabarangpur district has been going through in recent years. Beyond the spotlight of the media, the district—driven by the 5T Initiative—is advancing steadily in a number of areas, including gram panchayats, healthcare, agriculture, and the restoration of temples and tourist attractions, according to Mishra.
Author Dr. Ajit Mishra was previously Nabarangpur’s collector for four years beginning in 2018 and is currently the CEO of the Western Odisha Development Council. Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Mohanty’s book “President Droupadi Murmu: A Reflection of Changing Bharat” is the second.
In addition to providing a biographical sketch of President Droupadi Murmu, the book explores the sociocultural landscape of Odisha and Mayurbhanj. Her appointment to the presidency embodies a progressive and inclusive vision of India. The book creates an engaging narrative for readers to follow as they turn each page, with illustrations drawn from historical photographs of the President’s life and career.
