CM Naveen Pattnaik Launches 5 Online Services Of Women & Child Development Dept

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched five new online services under the 5T initiative of the Women & Child Development (W&CD) and Mission Shakti Department.

 ‘Mo-Chhatua App’ which is for the streamlining supply chain management of taking Home Ration (Chhatua); e-Kalika, the mobile application for monitoring creches for children under three; ‘Mo Sishu portal’, a comprehensive web-based information management and monitoring system solely for child protection services; ‘MAMATA App & MIS’, making the flagship conditional cash transfer benefit scheme for pregnant women hassle-free, paperless and citizen-centric are the apps which were launched by honorable CM of Odisha.

For uninterrupted, paperless transfer of compensation to 1, 34,758 AWWs, mini for the Anganwadi workers and helpers ‘e-manadeya’ portal was also launched.

As per the report, the W&CD Department also involved in the technical collaboration with CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute) which will help for developing the quality of THR (Take Home Ration) including testing of samples of THR and hot cooked meals, mentoring THR producing women self-help groups and capacity building of ICDS functionaries and women SHG.

Even WCD & MS Department also intruded into a technical collaboration with UNICEF on capacity building of the Odisha State Child Protection Society to reinforce the capacities of the statutory bodies, service delivery structures, and care givers under the State Child Protection Scheme and with World Food Programme for technical support for fortification.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Patnaik stated that Odisha Government has been giving preference to the empowerment of women and the welfare of children. Through the ‘Mission Shakti Programme’ women reservation in Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) to the empowerment of 80 lakh females were executed.

CM Patnaik also added that Odisha is the only state in India to introduce a nutrition budget and the five online programs will be triumphant in providing qualitative services to beneficiaries.
