Interview Times On the occasion of Human Rights Day, today CM Naveen Patnaik urged all to raise awareness about the rights of people and eliminate inequalities and discrimination.
Patnaik said, via tweet “On #HumanRightsDay, let’s raise awareness about people’s social, cultural, and physical rights and eliminate inequalities, discrimination. Reaffirm commitment to protect the inalienable rights of all to build a world which is just and inclusive.”

Every year on 10 December Human Rights Day is celebrated – on this day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
This year’s Human Rights Day theme relates to ‘Equality’ and Article 1 of the UDHR – “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” The principles of equality and non-discrimination are at the heart of human rights.
