Odisha continues to witness cold waves throughout the state for the second continuous day. According to the Indian IMD, Odisha will continue to witness fall in mercury over the next one week. While Phulbani recorded the lowest temperature, temperatures in twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneshwar were also cold.
Phulbani shivered at 7 degree Celsius, the lowest temperature recorded in Odisha on Friday night. With cold wave sweeping the state, the mercury dropped below 12 degree Celsius at 12 places. Daringbadi and Koraput were a close second at 7.5 degree Celsius each, followed by Sundargarh at 9.5 degree Celsius, Titlagarh (9.8), Bhawanipatna (10), Sonepur (10.5), Keonjhar, Angul and Balangir at 11 degree Celsius each, Malkangiri(11.5), and Chandbali (11.6).
While Cuttack recorded the temperatures of 13 degree Celsius, Bhubaneshwar recorded the temperature of 13.2 degree Celsius. The temperatures were marginally higher than the previous day of 12 and 12.2 degree celsius respectively.
