Colorado Attacker Shouts ‘End Zionists’, Uses Flamethrower and Molotov Cocktail; 6 Injured

A suspect identified as Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, has been taken into custody following a violent attack on a pro-Israel gathering in Boulder, Colorado, where six people were injured. The incident is being investigated as an act of terrorism by the FBI.

According to eyewitnesses and video footage, the attacker shouted slogans such as “End Zionists!”, “Palestine is Free!” and “They are killers!” before throwing what appeared to be a homemade Molotov cocktail and using a makeshift flamethrower on the crowd. The incident occurred near 13th and Pearl Street during a weekly “Run for Their Lives” walk.

Soliman also sustained injuries during the attack and was hospitalized for treatment. FBI Special Agent Mark Michalek confirmed that the agency is treating the event as a “targeted act of violence” and a potential terror attack. “It is clear that this is a targeted act of violence,” he said, noting that terrorism protocols are now in effect.

Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn stated that Soliman is believed to be the sole perpetrator and that no other suspects are involved. While initial police reports were cautious about attributing motive, further investigation and eyewitness accounts suggest the attack targeted members of the Jewish community participating in a peaceful gathering.

Authorities have yet to announce formal charges, but officials assured the public that Soliman will be “fully held accountable.”

The White House confirmed that President Donald Trump has been briefed on the incident. FBI Director Kash Patel also stated that federal agents are actively investigating the case.

The attack comes amid rising tensions across the U.S. related to the Israel-Gaza conflict, which has coincided with a spike in antisemitic hate crimes.
