For the upcoming dual elections in Odisha, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Sunday released the names of eight candidates for the Odisha Assembly and two candidates for the Lok Sabha.
The ancient party has selected Suresh Mohapatra to hold the Cuttack parliamentary seat and Nagendra Pradhan to hold the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat. Dulal Chandra Pradhan will be replaced by Pradhan.
Sofia Firdous (Barabati-Cuttack), Pramod Kumar Hembram (Baripada ST), Debi Prasanna Chand (Jaleswar), Ajay Samal (Barachana), Fakir Samal (Pallahara), Pratima Mallick (Jagatsinghpur), Monalisa Lenka (Balasore), and Bijayantimala Mohanty (Khandapada) are the eight MLA candidates announced by the party today.
