Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the language and dignity of Odisha are in danger.
During an interview with a major news program, the Prime Minister stated that the Odia language and the state’s pride, known as asmita, are in danger. I doubt that the people of Odisha will put up with it for very long.
Regarding the breakdown of the alliance negotiations with the BJD, Modi responded, “We have received issue-based support from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).” Numerous other parties have followed suit. But in Odisha, our relationship with the BJD is different.
“Odisha is lagging in several aspects despite being richly endowed with mineral resources,” Modi continued. It ought to have risen to the top of the nation, but where is it now?
Thus, I believe it is high time the BJP was given a chance to help the people of Odisha. We will lead Odisha to the highest level of development if given the opportunity,” he continued.
It is important to note that the Prime Minister made these comments at a time when a number of BJP leaders in Odisha were bringing up the subject of Odia asmita (pride).
