Dhenkanal – Congress candidate for Dhenkanal Lok Sabha seat Sasmita Behera and Congress candidate for Dhenkanal Assembly seat Sushmita Singhdeo filed their nomination papers respectively on Friday in Dhenkanal. Sasmita Behera filed her nomination at Collectorate Dhenkanal before the District Magistrate & Collector cum returning officer of Dhenkanal Parliament Constituency while, Sushmita Singhdeo filed her nomination at Sub-Collector office before the returning officer for Dhenkanal Assembly Constituency. Both the candidates did pooja at Shree Balaram Jew temple and seek the blessings after which they went for filing the nomination papers.
District Congress President Sunil Dash, proposer of Lok Sabha Candidate Saroj Satpathy along with several other party leader accompanied them. A roadshow was held from Congress Bhawan, Dhenkanal where hundreds of supporters, well wishers and party workers participated.
