Cooperative Policy Expected To Come Up By Jan 31 Next Year

Finalization of a cooperation policy is anticipated by January 31 of the following year. In each panchayat, the strategy seeks to create cooperative societies that provide a variety of services, including as the distribution of LPG gas, pharmacies, gas stations, public service centers, dairy farms, and milk distribution centers. This was disclosed by Odisha Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta, who was present at a gathering of state-by-state Cooperation Ministers in New Delhi, which was presided over by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.

Future initiatives and the growth of cooperative societies were the main topics of discussion. According to Minister Bal Samanta, cooperative organizations would put service before profit and deliver convenience right to people’s doorsteps. To guarantee the program’s efficacy, Amit Shah has ordered state-level meetings to take place the following month. A bank with a subsidized interest rate and loans up to Rs 5 lakh would be established in each panchayat as part of the project.

The proportion of interest rates has not yet been determined. Minister Bal Samanta promised that depositors will recover their money following verification in relation to the chit fund problem. Depositors with claims up to ₹5 lakh would get their whole amount, he said.
